Boat Club And Rentals FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions That We Have Received From Our Renters:

Q. What Do I Need To Rent A Boat?

A. All you need to rent a boat is a driver’s license, major credit card, previous boating experience and be at least 22 years of age.  If you were born after January 1, 1988 you must have a boat license or Safe Boating Card.

Q. Are Reservations Required?

A. Walk-ups are always welcomed, however reservations are highly recommended so that you get the boat best suited for your plans on the water and reserve the time you desire.

Q. What If I Have No Boating Experience?

A. Best Boat Rentals would be happy to recommend one of many local Tour Guides who can drive a boat for you.  We also are an authorized US Powerboating training center and can offer you private and group powerboat  training classes that provide not only book study, but hands-on, on the water training to have you feeling confident on the water in no time.

Q. What Is Included In The Rental?

A. FUN AND MORE FUN!  All the boats have tops, stereos, coolers and all required Coast Guard Safety equipment.  We also go over a chart of the local waterways with you before you leave the docks and point out area highlights that you may want to explore.

Q. What Can We Do?

A. There’s so much to do!  Snorkel, fish or just sight-see and cruise!  Each of our rental locations offers great options to consider.

Q. Is Fuel Included?

A. Gas is not included in the rental, but we send you out with plenty of fuel for your trip and charge you for the fuel you have used when you get back!

Q. Is Insurance Included?

A. We offer a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for damage to the prop and/or hull.

Q. Are Boats Allowed In The Ocean?

A. Yes, depending on the type of boat rented and that day’s sea conditions.

Q. What Are The Cruising Limits?

A. Limits are North to Boca Inlet and South to Haulover Inlet and a maximum of two miles offshore.

Q. What Is The Cancellation Policy?

We understand that plans change.  With 48 hours notice, there is no charge.  24 hours notice, we charge 1/2 the rental rate.  Less than 24 hours notice or no show is charged the full rental rate. If weather is the issue, we will issue a rain check or re-book you for a better day in the future.
